One Nintendo fan turns the Ring-Con from Ring Fit Adventure into a functional accordion, dubbing it the 'Ringcordion.' The Ring-Con is already an advanced piece of technology, typically used for various exercises in Ring Fit Adventure.
Sometimes the way this unique controller is used requires the player to squeeze and expand the ring with their arms or legs, similar to how an accordion would be expanded and compressed to make music. This function inspired YouTuber Ressa & the Robotic Orchestra to turn Nintendo's Ring-Con into a musical instrument.

Though the channel is relatively new on YouTube, having been created in January 2021, Ressa is experienced when it comes to development technology. She used Unity, Wwise from Audiokinetic, and a Ring-Con driver made by another GitHub user to turn the controller into an accordion. The Joy-Con still slots into the Ring-Con as it normally would, but here it's used to switch the keys for the accordion's sound. Additionally, tilting the Ring-Con changes the key from major to minor, as Ressa shows in her video.
This demo video is short, but Ressa says she has a longer video coming up that will include the history of the project, as well as the research and work that went into it. Because the accordion is a rare instrument not commonly seen in everyday life, it'll be interesting to see what players come up with thanks to Ressa's project.
